Our Wines

Tomaq wines are selected from small single vineyards. We endeavor to create wines that showcase the terrior; the combination of topography, soil, and weather that shape the grape’s development. In processing, where there is a choice, our bias is to do less, not more to the wine. We use the yeast that is present on the grapes and in the winery to ferment the wines rather than inoculating the juice with commercial yeast. Similarly, we allow malolactic to occur naturally. Stylistically, the wines are low in in alcohol, complex, and balanced. We eschew overly ripe highly extracted wines.
